On January 13, Apte took to Instagram to share her experience, shedding light on the troubling situation. The flight, scheduled for 8:30 AM, had not boarded even by 10:50 AM. Expressing frustration, she recounted how passengers, including those with small babies and elderly individuals, were confined to the aerobridge while the flight’s departure lingered.

“The passengers with small babies, elderly people have been locked in for over an hour. The security won’t open the doors. The staff has ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE,” Apte emphasized in her social media posts.

The reason for the delay, according to Apte, was a crew change, with the new staff yet to arrive. The lack of information about the crew’s arrival left the passengers stranded with no indication of how long they would be confined.

In an attempt to communicate with the airline staff, Apte managed to briefly escape the aerobridge. However, she expressed frustration at the staff’s dismissive attitude, quoting a staff woman who claimed there was no issue or delay.

Adding to the passengers’ woes, Apte mentioned that they were informed they would be stuck in the aerobridge until at least 12 PM. The situation escalated as there was reportedly no access to water or restroom facilities, making the ordeal even more challenging for those on board.

The incident unfolded without specific details about the city or the airline involved, leaving room for speculation about the possible improvements needed in airport operations and communication.

Radhika Apte, known for her roles in various Bollywood films and series, recently made a cameo appearance in the movie ‘Merry Christmas,’ which features Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. The film saw a successful release, earning ₹7 crore nett on its first day in India.
