Leading chip manufacturer Nvidia has declared that it will henceforth build new artificial intelligence (AI) chips every year as opposed to every two years.
The business recorded Q3 revenue of $26 billion, up 18% from the prior quarter and 262% from the prior year. The company is currently running on a one-year cycle after the Blackwell AI platform, according to founder and CEO Jensen Huang.
CEO Huang heralded the start of the next industrial revolution by announcing that nations and businesses are teaming up with Nvidia to convert old data centres to faster computers and construct artificial intelligence factories.
AI will increase industry productivity significantly, assist businesses in becoming more economical and energy-efficient, and open up new revenue streams.
Strong demand for generative AI training and inference on the Hopper platform propelled Nvidia’s data centre expansion. In order to provide employees and investors with greater access to stock ownership, the company recently announced a 10-for-one forward stock split.
