Another edition of the Sundance Film Festival, one of the most famous film festivals in the US, is soon to be organized. Formerly known as the US Film Festival, it takes place in Utah every year, and the event organized by the Sundance Institute premieres some of the most beautiful films to be screened.
Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha have collaborated to produce a movie that will also premiere at the festival, titled “Girls Will Be Girls.” Directed by Shuchi Talati, it will feature in the World Dramatic category, which consists of 16 movies, including “Girls Will Be Girls.” The film tells the coming-of-age story of Mira, a 16-year-old girl in a boarding school.

These movies, gaining recognition on such a huge platform, speak volumes about the reach of Indian cinema. After Rajamouli’s magnum opus “RRR” received praise in the West, the stereotypical notion about Indian movies changed, and that’s a very positive development for Indian cinema.
