The season of pairing isn’t really stopping as A24 follows the footsteps of Paramount+ and Apple TV to find a partner in the upcoming journey. Though A24 didn’t strike a bundle deal, it, in a very profitable manner, penned an exclusive streaming deal with Warner Bros Discovery.
With this deal, WBD will bring the present, the past, and the future of A24. The agreement covers the entirety of A24’s slate. From iconic films like Enemy to Sofia Coppola’s biopic Priscilla, all of it will come to the WBD partnered platforms that include HBO, Max, and Cinemax.
This deal is also a pay-1 output agreement, allowing any A24 films, which ended their theatrical run, to stream exclusively on WBD platforms for a certain period.
Also, with the same deal, WBD extends the licensing period for the films that are already being streamed on the partnered platforms like HBO and Max.
HBO and A24’s pay-1 output agreement will also include films like “Dicks: The Musical,” “Stop Making Sense” (rerelease), “Love Lies Bleeding,” and Alex Garland’s “Civil War.”
The deal extends licensing for A24’s library, bringing over 100 titles to HBO and Max, including notable films like “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and “Uncut Gems.”
One party will get the exposure, and the other one will bring the stats to the platforms—a win-win situation for both parties.
