
After Rangasthalam happened, everyone thought this would be the change of tide that Ram Charan needed both as an actor and also as a star hero. But this was quickly followed by Vinaya Vidheya Rama, which was a flop at the box office.
But again, Charan bounce back rather quickly with RRR, which turned out to be a global phenomena.

However, again, after RRR Charan stuttered big time with Acharya and his latest film Game Changer.
In the last decade, or so, if we take out Rangasthalam and RRR, the kind of filmography that was put up by Charan has been worrisome. The body of work has not just been inconsistent, but also preposterous at times.

At a time when his contemporary are setting up, interesting projects with face value directors, and delivering consistently, Charan is going the other way.
Hits and flops are of course apart and parcel of the game. But the issue for Charan here is that he has been delivering the kind of flops that are not even getting recognised or talked about.

For instance, the likes of Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Acharya and Game Changer are not even a part of the film related discussions these days. Having flops is one thing, but having films that can’t even spark a discussion is another.
As things stand, Charan needs at least face value films that standout in any single aspect – be it a stellar performance, exceptional audio, or ground breaking theme.
Operating within the commercial tropes and still delivering not even mention worthy films simply doesn’t cut it for a star like Charan. This will take a serious toll on his box office pull and ultimately bring down his potential.
