MM Keeravani’s son Sri Simha’s latest film Ustaad released yesterday. Despite last-minute promotions by SS Rajamouli and Nani, the film created no buzz among the audience.
As expected, the film failed to take off at the box office on its first day as there was no excitement among the audience to see it. Many websites and critics didn’t even bother to watch the movie and publish their reviews due to zero interest, be it online or offline.
After a promising debut in Mathu Vadalara, Sri Simha has been losing it with every film of his. Thellavarithe Guruvaram, Dongalunnaru Jagratha, Bhaag Saale, and now Ustaad.
Forget whether the film is good or bad; there is not even minimum interest among the moviegoer to watch Sri Simha’s films, such is the choice of his films.
Right now, there seems to be no vision or clarity about the kind of films he must choose. Doing films with amateur banners and directors might not help Sri Simha’s career in any way. He needs to choose his subjects, directors, and banners carefully, which have some minimum appeal to at least get the audience in the theaters for his film’s first show on the first day.
