
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has got relief in High Court. Reddy had made some offensive comments while campaigning for elections. BJP leader Kasam Venkateswarlu approached the court. Revanth Reddy got relief in this case.
Nampally Excise Court has given relief saying CM need not attend the hearing in person. The High Court made it clear that Revanth Reddy being the CM cannot attend Court for every hearing.

In the past, CM Revanth Reddy commented that BJP will do away with reservations if it comes to power. A hearing was held in Excise Court based on the comment. Reddy approached High Court requesting to quash the case.
The case has been postponed to June 12 by the High Court. On May 4, 2024, Revanth Reddy campaigned in Kothagudem for Parliament elections. At that time, he made sensational comments against BJP. He said BJP would do away with SC, ST, BC reservations if it comes to power.

Based on his comments, BJP Telangana general secretary Dr Kasam Venkateswarlu approached the court. But the hearing was postponed for four times in the trial court. So Kasam took the case to High Court’s notice.
The High Court dismissed the petition and suggested that Nampally Special Court’s complaint must be taken into consideration and justice be meted out accordingly.
