Not Even 100 Cr: Why Jolly LLB3 Flopped So Badly?

Jolly LLB 3 movie flop poster

Jolly LLB 3 was expected to shine with Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi returning. You walked into theatres expecting a strong story, but the film failed to hold attention. Those who sat through the runtime know exactly why it fell flat.

The first two parts worked because they kept things simple. A struggling or misguided lawyer found his way by standing up for the common man against powerful figures. That theme connected with you as a viewer and stayed engaging.

This time, the story followed the same path, but execution slipped. Land acquisition as a topic had scope for gripping legal drama, yet it turned into a tiring watch. The clash of two Jollys lacked spark and left you disconnected.

The second half looked forced. Arshad’s injury and Akshay’s decision to let him have the final words as a senior lawyer felt predictable and convenient. What should have been powerful moments instead weakened the impact.

Ram Kapoor had a role that could have matched the presence of Boman Irani or Annu Kapoor from earlier films. But weak writing wasted his potential, and the audience barely noticed him. Seema Biswas’ breakdown stretched longer than necessary, dragging the pace.

Saurabh Shukla stood out with his punchlines, as always. He gave you reasons to smile, but one strong performance could not rescue a film struggling with poor writing and dull execution. The missing spark of the earlier installments was clear.

Now that its run is almost over, you are left questioning whether sequels are being made for stories or simply for money. Bollywood’s tough phase needs a serious rethink, and Jolly LLB 3 is a reminder that only strong content can win you back.
