Peddi is done with its theatrical release and it is to be categorised as a mediocre grosser at the global box office. The effort of Charan was far too superior and that hasn’t been fully utilised by this film to a certain extent.
Now the discussion has opened about who was tight about this project in the first place. This discussion is originating from the fact that this idea was originally taken to NTR first and he contemplated on it for nearly a year and then sidelined it. It later land in Ram Charan’s court and he took it up.
Needless to say, it is never right to comment on the casting choice of a film after the project has materialised and the product is viewed by the public. As of now, Charan will obviously come across as the optimal choice for this film.
A few people are commenting that NTR, perhaps dodged a bullet by letting go off this subject as he might not have been the best fit for it anyway. Charan saw something in this and gave his everything so the efforts were visible on screen.
Peddi is at this bracket where we can’t conclusively say if NTR was right to lose it nor can anyone argue Charan was absolutely right to make it all happen. The film had little cultural impact on contemporary audience and that’s a bummer. For Charan, he can take away a memorable performance, and that’s about it.
