The growing use of AI tools like Google Gemini is slowly changing how everyday tech problems are solved. It is reducing dependence on official service centres and encouraging users to explore smarter and more affordable repair options.
A recent case shared on social media involved a Samsung Galaxy A52s user facing multiple hardware issues. After the phone fell, the screen went black, the microphone failed, and the AUX jack stopped working, prompting a visit to an official Samsung service center.
At the service center, the user was told the motherboard had failed and required full replacement. The quoted repair cost was ₹16,000, which left the user frustrated and uncertain about the diagnosis.
Seeking an alternative, the user turned to Google Gemini for guidance. The AI suggested the issue could be related to a damaged flex cable or display connector and advised getting a second opinion from a local repair shop.
A local technician later confirmed that the main flex cable was indeed faulty. The repair cost only ₹1,450, and the phone was restored to normal working condition within a short time.
This experience, reported by NDTV India, triggered wide discussion on X. Many users highlighted how AI based suggestions are gaining trust, especially when official service centres quote high repair costs.
While authorised service centres offer genuine parts and warranty support, their pricing often discourages Indian users. AI tools like Gemini provide logical troubleshooting insights, and when paired with skilled local technicians, they can help save both money and time.
