Travelling to Vietnam is often known for warmth and hospitality. However, for one couple, their trip was soured by repeated bad experiences with Vietjet. Across four flights, they faced delays, poor service, and a complete lack of basic comfort.
Delays and Pressure at Check-In
Their journey began with a Kochi to Ho Chi Minh City flight, which was delayed by 20 minutes. At check-in, staff pressured them to pay for seats and questioned them unnecessarily about hotel bookings and luggage. Refusing to pay led to rude behaviour from the ground staff.
Cramped Buses and Crowded Transfers
After landing, passengers were crammed into buses, packed tightly with little space to move. The same routine repeated during their flight to Da Nang, which was again delayed by 30 minutes. The lack of comfort became a pattern.
Lost Luggage Causes Chaos
Their return flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City turned worse. Around 70 passengers waited at the baggage belt for over an hour, only to be told their bags were never loaded. It took another 90 minutes for the next flight to deliver the luggage—without any delivery option or apology.
Final Flight Was the Worst
The return flight to Kochi was the most stressful. Online check-in was disabled, forcing everyone into long queues unless they paid extra for a fast lane. Once on board, passengers were stuck on the bus for an hour because a group delayed boarding.
Poor Comfort and No Hospitality
The international flight had cramped seating, locked empty rows, and only one small bottle of water per person. For travellers looking forward to Vietnam’s famed hospitality, Vietjet stood out as a major disappointment that added stress to an otherwise beautiful trip.
